Today, Senator Marie-Alvarado-Gil commends the recent decision by U.S. District Judge Cormac J. Carney to block the implementation of Senate Bill 2 (SB 2), which was slated to take effect on January 1, 2024. Judge Carney deemed a key provision of the bill as "unconstitutional," upholding the fundamental rights of law-abiding citizens in California who have been granted a concealed weapons permit (CCW).
