Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil secures a total of $1.3 million in funding for projects across Senate District 4

SACRAMENTO - Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil, D-Jackson representing Senate District 4 is thrilled to announce the additional $1.3 million she secured in the budget for various initiatives and infrastructure for the improvement of District 4.

"I am proud to have been able to secure these additional funds to support important programs, infrastructure and services across Senate District 4. In every opportunity, my team and I are working to bring resources that will have a direct impact to improve the quality of life for constituents across our district,” stated Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil.

The projects receiving funding are listed below:

  • $435,000 is allocated to the City of Turlock for parks & sewer infrastructure.
  • $250,000 is allocated to the Georgetown Divide Public Utilities District to supply back up generators, and wildfire prevention and drought resilience.
  • $200,000 is allocated for the Calaveras County Animal Shelter to focus on facility improvements.
  • $155,000 is allocated to Tuolumne County for the acquisition of property for workforce housing
  • $200,000 is allocated for the Stanislaus Community Foundation Latino Leadership Fund
