Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil Delivers Again, Securing $1 Million in Funding for the Town of Truckee
[Truckee, August 7, 2023] – California State Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of $1 million in funding for the Town of Truckee's Reimagine Bridge Street Project.
The project is focused on achieving several vital goals, including enhancing pedestrian safety and circulation, optimizing traffic flow, establishing a quiet zone to eliminate the need for train engineers to sound their horns near the track crossing, and preserving historic buildings.
Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil expressed her excitement regarding the funding approval, stating, "The Reimagine Bridge Street Project is an essential endeavor that addresses the needs of residents and visitors of the Town of Truckee. With this funding, we can create a safer, more efficient, and historically conscious environment for all. I am proud to have played a role in securing these resources for our community."
The funding for the Reimagine Bridge Street Project was made possible through the joint efforts of Senator Marie Alvarado Gil, local stakeholders, and government agencies committed to advancing the well-being and progress of the Town of Truckee.

The $1 million in the state budget that Senator Alvarado-Gil secured for this project is integral to completing this for our community.
