Ledger Dispatch - Senator Alvarado-Gil Stands up to PG&E’s Neglect of Rural Customers

Senate Bill 488, introduced by Senator Alvarado-Gil, would expand the Bioenergy Renewable Auction Mechanism (BioRAM) program to community choice aggregation (CCA) organizations. CCAs are local non-profit programs that allow communities to purchase electricity on behalf of residents and businesses in place of investor-owned utilities such as Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E).
